Megan Ellinghausen is a strategic marketer, storyteller, and changemaker. Her passions lie at the intersection of communication and social justice where she uses human-centered storytelling not just to raise awareness of issues but to inspire people to take action.

Megan is the Marketing and Branding Specialist for The Winters Group, Inc. In this role, she is primarily responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring the digital marketing plan. This includes web development, social media management, email marketing, and the planning and distribution of The Inclusion Solution blog.

Prior to joining The Winters Group, Megan was a web development intern for the University of Florida, where she was responsible for completing content audits of the university’s websites, along with editing the code for accessibility. She also worked with the Equal Opportunity Office in Alachua County, Florida. There, she rewrote the countywide procedures of the Americans with Disabilities Act to be a more comprehensive living document.

She is a also contributing author in Racial Justice at Work: Practical Solutions for Systemic Change (February, 2023) with her chapter How Algorithms Automate Bias.

Megan’s personal and professional experiences have developed her ability to use social media and digital marketing to build movements and inspire people to bring their online activism to life. She has learned many powerful lessons but none more important than the simple fact that words can change lives.

Megan is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Florida, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Bachelor of Science in Public Relations, and Master of Mass Communication in Public Interest Communication.

Megan is a certified administrator for the Intercultural Development Inventory® (IDI®).
