Marcia Fugate
Marcia E. Fugate is an experienced manager with a diverse business background. Over the past 25 years, she has developed an extensive knowledge base in the fields of Information Systems, Human Resources, Manufacturing, Finance, and Logistics. She was employed by Eastman Kodak Company and Johnson & Johnson Clinical Diagnostics and has experience in human development, training and leadership in a customer service/operations environment.
Ms. Fugate began working as an independent consultant in 1998 providing project management, quantiative analysis, facilitation services to a variety of Fortune 100 and not-for-profit organizations. She is also an adjunct professor for the Mathematics department at Monroe Community College and provides financial consulting services to a small business.
Ms. Fugate is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana, graduating from Purdue University with an undergraduate degree in Mathematics education. She received her master's degree in business administration from the University of Rochester's William E. Simon School of Business.
She has served on the boards of the YMCA, Career Center, Rochester Catholic Diocesan Office of Social Ministries, and the Immaculate Conception Church board.
Ms. Fugate is active in the community serving as a Compeer and Literacy volunteer. She is also committed to youth. She is a parent volunteer in the Fairport school district. She teaches tennis to inner-city youth as part of a youth program and has organized numerous youth activities for the Pan African American Heritage Committee, a community organization, based in Fairport, NY. She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. and is the chairperson of the Arts Committee where the vision is to help make the creative arts and the talents of African American youth more visible in the Rochester community.
She and her husband Thomas have three children, Marla, Thomas II, and Marcus.
