Betty Richardson
Betty Richardson is an innovative and results-oriented consultant and trainer. Her experience includes all aspects of Human Resources with a strong focus on Compensation and Performance Management. She has worked with start up businesses through Fortune 100 companies, as well as nonprofit organizations. Her in-depth background with varying types and size organizations as well as her expertise in utilizing Human Resource processes to support business and cultural strategies provides Ms. Richardson with a strong foundation to deliver needed results which are customized for each client.
Ms. Richardson held the position of Director, Compensation Planning and Development for Eastman Kodak Company. In this role, Ms. Richardson managed all of Kodak's internal compensation consultants who are responsible for the design of all corporate and US compensation and recognition programs as well as providing consulting expertise for unique compensation and recognition programs for specific Kodak businesses and populations (including all sales incentive programs). Additionally, she managed the compensation benchmarking group which holds responsibility for all external salary surveys and analysis for all of Kodak's US employees.
Prior to this, Ms. Richardson was Kodak's Minority Business Development Director whereby she effected a significant increase in actual spending with small businesses including those which are minority and women-owned. This was accomplished by partnering with potential suppliers, Kodak's procurement organizations, and local, state, and federal governments and developing a shared appreciation of the positive impact for Kodak, the small businesses, and the communities.
Ms. Richardson held the position of Manager, Compensation, Benefits, and Information at Harris Corporation/RF Communications before joining Kodak. In addition to divisional responsibilities, Ms. Richardson served as the corporate resource in the areas of compensation.
Ms. Richardson holds a B.S. degree in Business (Health) Administration from Ithaca College, has successfully completed Cornell's Executive Development Program, and has been certified by the American Compensation Association. Ms. Richardson lives in Fairport, NY with daughter, Katie. In addition to her personal and professional opportunities, Ms. Richardson conducts a program which teams special needs children and animals at the local animal shelter with the goals of breaking the cycle of abuse, recognizing the value of positive reinforcement, and building self-esteem.
